Privacy Policy
This page explains what information WP Small Plugins collects when you visit this site or buy a plugin license, and what we do with it.
Last updated: October 2026.
Who we are
This Privacy Policy covers wpsmallplugins.com, operated by WP Small Plugins. If you have any question about it, use our Contact page.
Information we collect when you buy a plugin license
When you check out, we collect the information needed to process your order: your name, email address, and payment details. Payments are processed by PayPal — we do not see or store your full card or PayPal account details ourselves; PayPal handles that directly and has its own privacy policy.
We use this information to:
- Send you your license key, download link, and order receipt.
- Respond to support questions, license issues, and refund requests.
- Prevent fraudulent transactions.
- Keep records we’re required to keep for accounting and tax purposes.
License key data
When you activate a Pro plugin on your site, our license server stores the license key, the product it belongs to, its expiration date, and the domain(s) it’s activated on (up to five, for a 5-site license). This is used solely to validate your license and deliver software updates, and is not shared with third parties. Requests to the license server may also record the requesting IP address in a security log to prevent abuse; that address is anonymized before being stored. We also send a single reminder email to your account’s address shortly before a license expires, so you know to renew if you want to keep receiving updates.
Email logs
Some actions on this site — like completing a purchase or resetting a password — trigger an email. A copy of these emails, including the recipient address, is stored on our server as an operational log so we can troubleshoot delivery problems. This log is accessible only to site administrators.
Cookies
If you log in to manage your orders or licenses, we set a small number of cookies to keep you logged in. These contain no readable personal data by themselves and are removed when you log out. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
Embedded content from other pages
Our plugin documentation is hosted on this same domain. Pages may link to it or to WordPress.org; visiting those pages is subject to their own privacy practices, not this one.
Who we share data with
We share only what’s necessary to run the store: payment details with PayPal to process your transaction, and your order confirmation email with our outgoing mail service. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
How long we keep data
We keep order and license records for as long as your license could reasonably need support or a refund review, and as long as we’re required to for accounting purposes. Email logs are kept only as long as needed to troubleshoot delivery issues and are periodically cleared.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you — for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) if you’re a California resident. To make a request, use our Contact page and we’ll respond as quickly as we can. Note that we may need to keep certain order records for legal or tax reasons even after a deletion request.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we’ll update this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
